First Audio Ever (from Wavelength)
free audio post-production by alphonic.com hello this is Esteban Cho I don’t really know what I’m doing I’m trying to record something because today I remembered that my micro.blog subscription has this feature to record audios and publish them as podcasts in the feed of my micro.blog blog and it also has a stand-alone app for iOS, for the iPhone the app is called Wavelength Wavelength, I think that’s what I’m actually using right now so I thought that it would be a good idea for me to find another way to practice my English to record something and just put it out there on the internet, in my blog and try not to be too embarrassed about it I’m just playing around with my blogs and with the English language which I love so I thought that it would be a good idea to just improvise something and record something that will probably be of no use to anybody but that will give me a bit of fun I’m a lawyer from Spain from the Basque country which is a region in the north of Spain or the south of France south of Europe I mean my first language is Basque and then of course I speak Spanish fluently as well so my everyday languages are both Spanish and Basque and then I learned English when I went to the United States, to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for one year as an exchange student I studied my junior high school year in Lancaster and that’s where I learned English but that was like 30 something years ago imagine I haven’t had much practice ever since so I try to keep up listening to podcasts and watching TV shows and reading a lot in English but I never get enough practice with my speaking so a few months ago I joined a fantastic group from micro.blog from the micro.blog community we are a bunch of people that meet via Zoom like a month every month I think it is I’ve missed a few of them but we meet every month the meeting is hosted by Hosted Bernard co-hosted by Jesse Kalber and we talk about analog tools we talk everything like notebooks and pens and fountain pens and writing and journaling and also about digital tools too because we’ve seen that we are not 100% analog or 100% digital and we actually have a lot of fun in that meeting and I’ve met a bunch of fantastic people beautiful, nice people and they give me the chance to practice my English once a month and well, but that’s not enough for me because I’d be speaking in English every day and I don’t get the chance to do that so I said, well, I’m gonna try to record something I don’t really know if this is going to become a podcast I don’t think so but once in a while you’ll see in my feed that I published an audio I hope you are kind enough to forgive my English and the fact that I put audios on your feed you are not obliged to listen to them, of course and you are not even obliged to say anything about them if anybody listens to this it will be like a message in a bottle and I’ll be glad to know that somebody listened to this but I don’t really know if I will ever be able to say anything useful or interesting or if I will ever build a podcast over some interesting topic and this first try is just some rambling around without knowing what I’m doing but I guess that if I get enough practice I will be able to be consistent and find interesting topics to talk about and maybe this becomes a podcast I really don’t know this is still recording, isn’t it?
