I envy musicians. People that can understand music in their minds and bones, that can compose a musical piece that they feel inside or that can play an instrument and jam with a band giving away the art that makes me the happiest of all arts.

I enjoy architecture, painting, sculpture, cinema, literature, theatre, poetry, video, ballet, comics… but music shakes my emotions the most, always.

Other arts can make me smile, have fun, be stunned in an awe. I remember one movie, La Vita e Bella by Roberto Benigni, that made me laugh out loud and cry heavy tears, and both at the same time.

But only music makes me so happy that I lose my mind. Nothing is more fun than throwing some ass and dancing until I’m 16 again.

When I was a teenager, I played the violin. It wasn’t my thing. I got to be average good at it and I could have done better, but I didn’t have it in me.

Anyhow, I wanted to say this. I envy real musicians, and I thank every one of them for all the joy that they bring to my life.
