Finally I made my hub, albeit a humble one, at estebantxo.com
I have created a static page to host my main domain, estebantxo.com, and I plan to use it as a hub for my current blogs and future projects.
At the moment, the page serves as an introduction about myself, provides a brief explanation of the two blogs I have created in the ‘blog’ and ‘social’ subdomains, and includes links to my email, ActivityPub user, and RSS feed for those who wish to follow or contact me.
In the future, I may consider adding a ‘Now’ section or a list of the latest posts. I will decide as time goes on and based on the feedback I receive, if any. There are many places like Manuel Moreale’s, Carl Barenburg’s, and Jason Becker’s where I can draw inspiration from.
I can’t deny my main inspiration in this case came from Dario Amodei’s site.
Nevertheless, making this page has had its challenges. The text was not properly formatted in the first tries and I had to come up with some HTML style code to fix it. I had to tweak my Custom CSS, too. All this I can handle thanks to ChatGPT, mainly.
And finally I managed to set up the DNS records in my domain in order to have the micro.blog static page redirected to estebantxo.com. The micro.blog documentation helped me a lot.
It’s blogging 101 at a very very basic level, I know, I can see your faces. But it’s being a nice ride for me.
